A temporary community space within The Goodsyard, Bishopsgate, granted permission in 2012. The Hullabaloo is a Project Hub for the Goodsyard consultation process.

Situated oppisite the new Shoreditch High Street overground station, it will present associated opportunities for other temporary uses and help to bring life and activity to this site during the development process.

The Hullabaloo will be created from an ex marketing suite, clad with externally treated marine grade plywood with a laser cut pattern, inspired by local people’s chosen icons of the area. It also includes space for a community garden and events such as the Ideas Week.

The proposed Hub is one part of the means in which engagement and outreach can take place. It will act as a visual marker for the project and a community space from which the project can be understood, debated and shared.

The vision is that community groups will populate the Hub with a programme of activities and arts projects that can creatively involve local people in the development process and work collaboratively to turn the Hub into a place that reveals the identity of the local area, and showcases the good things that are happening in it, as well as supporting the consultation and engagement process for The Goodsyard site.
