A masterplan study commissioned by the London Borough of Brent for this area of change and growth stretching from Alperton Station to Stonebridge Park, along the Grand Union Canal to enable a co-ordinated approach to the re-development and transformation of the area.

A masterplan stimulated by the idea of the ‘sub-urban renaissance’ in which sub urban living is redefined within a sustainable and a balanced community that provides new homes for families and individuals as well as new facilities and open spaces for people to enjoy.

In depth site analysis led to the development of an agreed vision and concept plan for the masterplan, supported by consultation with local residents, stakeholders, landowners and businesses.

The masterplan is a 10-15 year plan that defines: character areas, development and regeneration opportunities, an urban design framework providing principles to guide development as well as a strategy for public open space, social infrastructure, a network of pedestrian friendly streets and hierarchy of streets for vehicular movement.
