Fluid start 1950s residential retrofit project
12 December 2013
This exciting proposal sees the re-invention of a post-war residential property in North London suffering from typical failures of damp and condensation.
A new external skin is proposed adding much needed insulation to the property, whilst affording the opportunity to upgrade the building’s ailing appearance. A roof extension is also planned atop the existing flat roof, providing new accommodation to the top floor flat. The transformations look to mediate between the traditional Edwardian street-scape and the original architecture of the property, whilst subtly bringing the building into the modern day with regards to design and sustainable credentials.
The scheme is to go into planning early in the New Year.
