To celebrate the launch of the Icon Design Trail 2017 on Saturday, Fluid and the City of London Corporation held a Culture Mile Urban Safari of the Culture Mile area, starting from the Smithfield Rotunda onto Silk Street and Moor Lane, via the Culture Mile’s main spine. Along the journey we took a group of local residents to see Fluid’s Culture Mile installations and a number of the City of London’s temporary arts projects.
Our Culture Mile installations were installed early on Saturday morning in time for the Icon Design Trail 2017 launch and the Culture Mile Urban Safari. Fluid have worked with the City of London Corporation and a great team to turn the project around in a very short time-scale! Steve and Afolabi have returned from Mipim – essentially intact! As well as this scheme we were kept busy explaining the two new commissions we have received from the City Corporation for Area Strategies for some of London’s most outstanding places.
